To travel Montana's Continental Divide is no small undertaking. The Divide in Glacier National Park by itself is a monster. Solo travelers disappear up there all the time, during the summer.
Supposedly my lifetime crowning achievement is to travel and photograph Montana's Continental Divide during the harshest of all seasons. Apparently going solo really is going solo though. With a growing portfolio of published writing and photographs, I have had no upfront takers in getting financial assistance throughout the trip. Therefore I will seek different means to get the task accomplished. That is problematic at this time.
Already I am clear that the trip is going to take more than one winter season. How many? Who knows, it has never been accomplished.
One thing I am certain about though: to the magazines I submitted a query with concerning an upfront commitment for this trip; my shadow will never darken your doorway again.
This has already gotten interesting.
