A full moon was rising over the mountains on a September evening in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness of Idaho and Montana.  This scene was viewed from the summit of Friday Pass (7936 feet). We placed a camp on this beautiful summit for two nights. Our water supply 1,000 feet below the camp came from a small stream, which flowed into the very inappropriately named Swamp Lake.
