In the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness of Idaho and Montana is East Fork Moose Creek during the spring runoff. The reflection just after a rain storm brought to mind a ghostly apparition. The darkening cedar forest in a late evening did not help much with my rather vivid imagination. Almost four years later I photographed this again in a winter scene. The spectral appearance still remained, though smaller. Travel time to this location from Elk Summit trailhead during the summer was part of one day. During the winter I arrived on the morning of the third day.
