During my second attempt to summit West Goat Peak (10,793 feet), the highest in the Anaconda-Pintlar Wilderness of Montana, the cloudbank was sometimes so thick the dangerous edge of the cornice would be invisible until the last moment. This photo was taken during one of those moments.
