Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness Trips

With over 40 years of experience in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness this page may not reflect that due to it being new.  I will add-on to it as time will permit, while updating from trips that are happening now. rgl

The trips listed below are located in their respective season page, which are color coded for their season.  I have to do that because some who look and plan based off my site might think summer is what happens from May through September.  That is only true of certain elevations.  So my codes will apply to the season that area is experiencing at the time of the trip.  Spring; green, Summer; red, Autumn; orange, Winter, blue.  Another thing; spring will also include some serious snowpack travel/pictures, while autumn might have a real good dumping of snow on the colors.  So they sort of mix in with each other here in Montana and Idaho.  I'll make the call on the season.  It is afterall, the trips I took and it's my website.

You may have noticed I have been saying Montana all over my website.  So why Idaho here?  I've also said something about my long standing prejudice for the Selway-Bitterroot.  As it turns out Idaho has something like 75% of the wilderness on its land.  I'm not going to leave Idaho's portion of the wilderness out for that reason.  Most of what I have experienced in this great wilderness has had at least some part of it in Idaho.  Actually many of my trips were exclusively Idaho.  For this the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness page has two state buttons. rgl
